I want to participate in Eureka! 2010. What should i do?

For a start, sign up for Eureka! You will have to provide the team leader's detail and postal address. You will also have to provide your team member's info . Once registered, you will receive a confirmation mail.

Please confirm your registration on the link provided.Once you are done with the confirmation you can proceed to the submission page.

What is the registration / participation fee for Eureka!?

There is NO registration / participation fee.

What is the last date of submission?

The last date for submitting/editing your B-Plan is 4th October 2010.

Can I change my team later?

Yes, you can change your team info and other registration details by logging into the edit profile page . You can even add a team member or drop someone. This facility will be available till 4th October 2010.

What should i do if i didn't receive the username/password?

If you don't remember your ID, mail sachin@ ecell.in for assistance. If you dont receive a reply in 24 hours, please mail abhisheklal@ ecell.in and inform him of the situation

Can I submit more than one Questionnaire?

Yes. However, judges may view multiple submissions as a lack of commitment to any single plan. You need to sign up separately for each entry.

Can I submit additional documents along with the summary?

No, we do not accept any other documents. You will have to fill the questionnaire only.

I have problem while submitting my entry ?

We recommend you to not to copy paste any of your data from any Rich text document like MS Word , instead use a Notepad to draft your questionnaire or do the formatting in the text box itself. Even then if the problem persist mail to sachin@ecell.in with proper details of your problem.

How can I confirm my entry is submitted ?

After submitting your entry you will see a page mentioning "We have received your entry in this format.You can always edit your submission up till the deadline date." followed by your submission that we received. This page display the entry that we receive from you and confirms your submission.

The page is saying you are not authorized / you have not verified your email ?

In case of first message i.e you are not authorized... it means that you need to sign up first to see the page ,and if you are a registered user and still get this message that means you have been logged out .So login again and try submitting your entry .If you think you are being logged out too early then try changing your browser.

In the second case even after clicking on the verification mail (provided to you on your email while registering) still this message appears then mail to sachin@ ecell.in and do specify your login on your mail.

I registered more than once for the same entry. What should i do?

A single registration should be done for a single entry. If you have registered more than once, please mail sachin@ ecell.in and inform him of all the registrations (quote registration ids) and select a registration you are going to use. Multiple registrations for the same entry may result in rejection of the registration

Whom should i contact for assistance?

If your query is web related (example: registration, confirmation, username/password), mail sachin@ ecell.in for details. If you have a query regarding the competition in general, please contact Abhishek Lal (abhisheklal@ ecell.in) .

How is confidentiality of the Questionnaire/B-Plan maintained?

The entries for Eureka! 2010 are judged by reputed faculty, entrepreneurs and industrialists who believe in promoting entrepreneurship. Your entry is only viewed by the judge. At no stage is a organiser permitted to view your executive summary/B-Plan.

Presentations are closed room presentations. Only the team members and judges are present for the presentation.

Can I get a copy of a Business Plan?

All the Business Plans and the Executive summaries that participate in Eureka! are regarded as extremely confidential. They are disclosed only to the Judges and Incubators (if the team permits). We provide a brief summary of some entries on the web site. We encourage you to contact the teams directly to discuss receiving copies of the plans.

What size should my team be?

Teams can be of any size, but a typical team consists of 3 to 7 members. You may include faculty, industrialists, professionals etc in your team. Each team should determine what expertise it needs to develop a successful business plan and build a team to meet those needs.

Do I need to have a team?

We allow single participation, though a team is recommended.

How will the business plans be judged?

Business plans will be evaluated based on the quality of the plan, the feasibility of the plan and the size of the market opportunity and other judging parameters. Judging will be conducted by a group of successful entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists and experienced people from the industry.

Does my business plan have to be technology related?

No, we encourage the entry of all well developed business plans.

What resources are available to help in writing my business plan?

Please see our Online Resources page. Teams qualifying in the first round can request a mentor from the entrepreneurial community to provide assistance and guidance in developing a successful business plan.

How does the mentoring program work?

Mentors are experienced entrepreneurs or experts of specific fields who provide assistance and guidance to competition participants. Mentors will offer suggestions and feedback to help participants develop and refine a business plan. Competition participants are not required to have a mentor, although teams are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Teams can select a mentor on their own or request that the competition committee assign a mentor to help them.

When can I request a Mentor?

A mentor will be allotted to all the teams that qualify in the second round. The mentoring session will long through a period of January-February. The session will be divided into parts that will help the teams get more out of the session.
